About me
"I was born and raised in the bustling city of Barcelona, Spain. From my earliest memories, I was enchanted by the idea of flight - to touch the clouds, navigate the skies and see the world from a vantage point reserved for birds. Yet, as I grew older and started to think pragmatically about my career, I chose to walk a more conventional path and studied to become an economist at university. This path provided me with a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving, and it fostered an understanding of the dynamics of the global economy.
However, the lure of the skies remained a constant whisper in the back of my mind. After several years working as an economist, I finally decided it was time to pursue my childhood dream. Leaving my comfort zone and the stability of my job, I ventured to California to train to be a professional pilot. This was a transformative period of my life. I not only learned how to navigate an aircraft but also embraced a lifestyle that required discipline, quick decision-making, and resilience.
My passion for aviation led me to work as a professional pilot, a role I relished with every fiber of my being. Then, in 2020, the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, and the aviation industry was one of the hardest hit. Like many others in my field, I found my career abruptly put on hold.
Despite the unexpected interruption, I view this setback as an opportunity rather than a hindrance. As an optimist, I am always looking for silver linings, and as a fighter, I am not afraid to face challenges head-on. My commitment to continuous learning and adaptability has opened up new opportunities even in these uncertain times.
Currently, I am exploring new paths within the aviation industry. I am hopeful and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and am eager to embark on this next chapter of my aviation journey."
MY NEXT GOAL?
I have always felt the need to make a significant contribution to my surroundings. At the crossroads I currently find myself in, I have decided to focus my efforts and passion towards a career that combines my skills as a pilot with my desire to serve the community. That is why I have decided to train as a fire-fighting pilot.
Fire-fighting pilots play a crucial role in emergency management, helping to fight forest fires and protect ecosystems and communities. This task requires not only flying skills, but also a deep understanding of meteorology, geography, and wildfire safety.
I am aware that this is a challenging path, requiring specific training and great mental and physical strength. However, I am convinced that my determination, my experience as a professional pilot, and my willingness to learn and adapt will allow me to overcome these challenges.
